Atlantis, Paradise Island, the lush, oceanside resort located in The Bahamas, has launched an unprecedented two-week “Celebrate Sharks” sale, which offers consumers and friends of the resort the chance to escape home for an authentic Bahamian and marine-focused vacation at any of the resort’s five towers (The Beach, The Coral, The Royal, The Cove and The Reef), between the dates of July 17, 2018 through August 31, 2019. Home to over 100 sharks (one of the most beloved and iconic marine animals in the world), Atlantis gives guests the opportunity to participate in a variety of marine interactions and experiences, tied to this animal.   • Atlantis, Paradise Island has over 165 marine biologists, aquarists, marine mammal specialists, lab technicians and water quality experts that are full time members of the Atlantis Team and take care of our marine life (like the sharks) and the state-of-the-art marine habitats they call home.
  • Atlantis, Paradise Island is home to the largest open-air marine habitat in the world…encompassing 14 lagoons, eight million gallons of ocean water and more than 50,000 aquatic animals representing over 250 marine species.
  • The 100+ sharks at Atlantis, Paradise Island include: 38 Nurse Sharks, 27 Black Nose Sharks, 11 Caribbean Reef Sharks, 1 Atlantic Black Tip Sharks, 23 Pacific Black Tip Sharks, 2 Great Hammerhead Sharks, 2 Bonnethead sharks and 3 Zebra Sharks.  
  • Atlantis, Paradise Island’s marine habitat had the first-ever Caribbean Reef shark and the first-ever Black Nose shark born in a man-made environment. We are also the only marine facility in the world to have had successful reproduction and birth of the smalltooth sawfish.

  • “Walk with the Sharks Adventure” (Located at the Mayan Temple Slides at Aquaventure) is a fan favorite at Atlantis. Guests are able to walk on the bottom of Atlantis, Paradise Island’s Shark Habitat and find themselves nose-to-nose with the guardians of the lost world of Atlantis.
